I love the paint job on this motor.
Hi. Brewsters bring cores to the cellophane / polymer film factory in my home town once or twice a week. They always look clean and well cared for.

Sutton Bank from above.
oilyEarly 60’s I took a loaded 8 wheel Atki UP there, (rock salt from Winsford, naughty naughty I don’t think there was a ban on HGV’s at that time) 150 Gardner, David Brown box. Half the load was to tip half way up the bank the rest of it at the top. I put it in #1 at the bottom of the bank and just let it do it’s job, no problem, it sailed up.
I’ve just come across your post, so this is a bit late.
Is there a ban on HGVs on Sutton Bank?. I went up there last year and I remember seeing a sign saying “16 HGVs recovered from here in the last 12 months”.
I went up there with a fully loaded 52 seat Volvo B10 coach and that grunted a bit on some of the bends. I stuck in 1st all the way up, I wasn’t going to take any chances.
Bob.
There certainly is and I was very naughty,( if the sign was there “I didn’t see it officer”,) I ignored it, (i was young and silly). But my Atki with the 150 Gardner and 6 speed DB played with the 1 in 4.
I did have a little bit of sense, I stopped at the bottom, put it in #1 and just let it do it’s stuff, (no trying to change down on the hill).
Are you watching Mr.Carryfast? Atki, 150 Gardner…fine machine.

Hi truckfing, my plant experience is nil, but the crawler/dozer tracks seem wider than norm, unless of course for very soft ground, somebody clue me up.

Those tracks are what are called LGP’s for “Low Ground Pressure” probably they were needed for pushing the grain up in the store.I had a Plant hire pal who had a D4 on LPG tracks and it was a useful machine for working on soft going ! Cheers Bewick.
