Its not in any way illegal. Nor does paying a break, encourage you to not use your tachograph properly…

Treat as you are treated. If I were to work for a company like that, which I wouldn’t. I would not go flat out. The company I mainly work for pay from when I leave home to when I get back. Because they are fair with me I did a run yesterday stuck it on break while loading and then came back. Rather than loading then taking a 45.

I work for a well known supermarket and we are paid our breaks hence why it’s frowned upon if we have more than 50 mins.
We were getting an hour in Falkirk depot, but the new telematics/tracker system will apparently ‘grass us up’ if we go over 50 mins from 2nd feb 
Not to worry, pay rise part 2 from tomorrow! 
My last job didn’t pay breaks, so I just had 2 hours a day to make up for it.

Yeah I was told we used to be allowed an hour but can’t argue with 50 minutes I suppose as they are paying it. Also I did read something on the board about another staged increase in wages not sure how much but “every little helps” .
I just read that Break dont have to be paid. It does not say its against the Law to pay for it

It didnt happen in the end, for obvious reasons they couldnt find any thing in law! sorry for the delay.
Was talking to a tramper the other night, he was telling me how much he was on for a shift,then told me he was not paid for his breaks. His employer was so good when it was pointed out to him he was actually wotking for 7.50 an hour!

On your timesheet “start” 15 mins early an “finish” 30 mins later, everyones happy they deduct their 45 you get paid your break.
Took the words right out of my mouth… exactly what I would do! You can change something like that without it going in writing.
