Overnight in truck

When I park up I use microwave, tv, fridge runs all the time and I charge both work and personal phones all with no need to start the engine.

Is that a built in fridge??

Yes mate

tbh I just used to put my milk and butter in a carrier bag either out the top of the sunroof over night (even in summer it is cool enough at night) and during the day in the top of the step on trucks where the door overlapped the step (handy shelf), that also even summer was sufficient to keep milk ok for a day and butter indefinitely as long as you don’t have random heatwave weather, anyway my point being if you just wanna keep milk cool overnight and butter etc the above works well enough if you don’t have a cool box

So you survived on milk and butter :open_mouth:
Well obviuosly(spolling) you did

If you put milk out on the step surely it comes back in as butter?

Im also on containers and have a lot of ‘down’ time… Im really paranoid about the batterys if the truth be known… and i must admit i was a little too scared to leave my cool box on over night!

BUT there is a couple of jobs that are 5 and 6 hours… sometimes even more… I use an inverter a cool box, phone charger etc etc and when i get to the drop the batterys are say at 24.7-24.9 and even after 4-5 hours iv never seen them drop below 24.3. I also use a kettle too which is really power hungry.

What i woud like to know is what voltage would the meter read for it to be too low for the batterys to start the motor.

Oh on a side note i dont run the cool box and inverter at the same time as it only has one 12v socket and when i had them both plugged it kept blowing the fuse on the multisocket… But the coolbox seems pretty well insulated so it appears to keep at a lower temp for quite some time, why volvo only put 1 12v socket in seems really bizarre to me! Think ill have the purchase a dropper at somepoint, or a 24v inverter!
