Orange things at Lymm exit

bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-ma … r-41426274

Had them at Winchester Services northbound about six months ago…lasted a week.

I think they’re bringing them back though.

On their introduction, Clean Up Britain founder John Read said: "Highways England just needs to do its job properly, and keep the entire motorway network clear of litter, not just 25 so-called ‘hotspots’.

No Mr. John Read. People (car and truck drivers) need to stop being filthy pigs…

AndrewG:
We have these at the exit to all the Aires. Most are dual bins with a hole at both truck height and car height, had them for years.
All those that crap in a tesco bag now have no excuse, better than leaving it under the trailer…

Looking at the picture, they look nothing like the ones in other places in Europe, they are huge bins, those things are going to be full in no time, that’s if they don’t get knocked over first.

They are the new funnel bins, meant to throw any remaining rubbish in the on exit!
Put there by the Highways division as they are not meeting their targets to clean up the roads, they obviously want us to do that for them :stuck_out_tongue:

They shouldn’t have to do it anyway, people should show more respect for the country

Correct sir no excuse at all for littering

It’s another situation of “somebody else’s responsibility” and “It’s my right” in this case to throw rubbish out of a vehicle for somebody else to clean up. :imp:

Its not ‘their right’ though is it. Littering is a civil offense incurring a fixed penalty notice if caught. Its a crime not a right.

If the police started actually policing, rather than checking for speeders at the local McDrivethrough, (its in easy range of the coffee and burgers you see) we might find another way to reduce litter on the motorways. If each force caught and enforced fines on 10 flipflops a day for tossing bottles of ■■■■ out of the window, they could pay for a good three or four more CID to catch the rapists, murderers, kiddyfiddlers and terrorists and put em where they belong.

And I know you weren’t advocating littering Muckles, its just your use of ‘Its my right’ gave me the leg up I needed to get my fat arris on the soap box.

No I wasn’t, and my it’s a right, was more of an attitude in this Country where it seems people are will shout about what they believe is their rights, but not willing to accept they are also responsible for their actions.

but why just pick on the East European truck drivers, plenty of our own population seem to have no problem with throwing their rubbish out of their car or truck. It’s a problem in this country that cuts across all sections of society, it’s not just those who are visiting here. Maybe waiting outside McDonald’s and other fast food outlets and catch those that throw rubbish out of the car in sight of the McBins.

Pick on the EE’s for now Muckles. They learn faster than us pigheaded Brits so we should make some progress.

Personally I’d like to see the Police prosecute some of the cocky ■■■■■■ who throw rubbish out of their pimped up Corsa or those that believe they are far to superior to walk from their Chelsea Tractor to the bins or to take their rubbish home. :imp:

Seems our geniuses who thought this up have failed to consider wide loads, half asleep drivers and how to empty these reverse phallic symbols.

so what would happen if…
nobody dropped litter.
all the binnys and scaffys that go out litter picking from the roads and and laybys would be out of a job and on the dole.
their wifes and sisters would no doubt need to to back to prostitution with the men going out burgling every night just to feed their children.
within a short time they would all be smacked out of their ■■■■ associating with the others in their profession, and along with prison, counselling, rehab, methodone etc,the social services would be paying fortunes to look after their brats.
i think the best thing to do is ignore the bins, and lob your pish and rubbish out the windows at every opperchancity.keep these poor unfortunates in employment .xmas is coming.think of their children.have you no heart for them?
full marks to the fanny that thought of the orange ■■■■■■■ funnels though.pity its in england where implimenting it is guaranteed to be a complete disaster and no use at all.

■■■■■■■ funnels…

well dipper dave obviously missed out on that one.
id imagine some of the retired drivers may see them as hearing trumpets…
id think its only a matter of time that if they impliment them elsewhere,we will be able to see a few fat wifeys shouting into them to order food,or to ask if they can exit the carparks.
at least the flipflops wont need to run the risk of embarrasment eating out of the mcdonalds and kfc skips anymore, they can just park handy and have a quick rummage around and see what they come out with…im thinking a lucky dip for the taliban…

To right I missed the ■■■■■■■ opportunity, gutted. In your face you lot.

Didn’t think much of their second album, but they’re doing Glasto next year.
Come to think of it ND (no pun  ) you look a bit like their lead singer.
