If they built houses away from the road edge things like this would never happen !
Exactly, and at the end of the vid someone says “she has to have her house rebuilt every year” wouldn’t you think she would build it a little further back out of harms way!
House was probably there long before lorries were invented.

Bad driving in my opinion! He should have known about his back end swing and there was plenty of room to his offside to prevent it then screw it over after passing the building. Obviously watching the front trailer bit
Easy to get distracted though watching the front etc.
Might not be keen to park in the next space in an MSA though.
He wasn’t distracted. He totally lost the plot on the approach to the turn in allowing for a non existent amount of cut in and forgetting about the tail sweep.Which is the natural reaction in the case of artics and it’s why it would be better to put the trailer axles as far back as possible being that artics were never designed to be driven on the basis of trying to balance cut in against sweep.
How high do you reckon he is? because he’s heading for a 14’ 9" bridge going that way, with no-where to turn around, as I’ve said on another thread this is an A road looks fine on a map
When you have a house and your front door opens straight onto a main road then you’ve got to expect this from time to time. All the signs in the world won’t make any difference just good contacts in the building trade
I was thinking dozy too haha it’s how imagine he looks if dozy was some skinny tall geezer I’d be shocked

That’s where it is on the 498 as you come out of the village past the Goat Hotel, it’s up there, or are you saying it’s been knocked down, it’s still on street view

It is on street view isn’t it, hidden in the trees I apologise. Not on the Google bridge map though. I’m back up there this week I’m going to have a look.

I think it was/is disused that’s why I thought it might have been knocked down, it’s been a while since I’ve been down that way

Maybe the driver knocked it down if he got round the bridge [emoji6] I used to live near there. Absolutely love the place.

When she got me mate it was like winning the lottery for her
Was it kind of like that deflated feeling when you get the first three numbers out and none of the rest?
A sort of “I wanted the jackpot but I suppose ill have to settle for a tenner” kind of winning?

I have to apologise went past there yesterday, the bridge is there 14ft 9". Bit worrying that it isn’t shown on the Google Maps low bridge app though.
