Poor old Harry,
one withering glance from his wife and he turns to putty!
I donât believe it! I know you have got dodges and more twist & turns you would tie a rattlesnake into knots.

hiya,
Norm you make me feel so strong I could crush a grape.
thanks harry, long retired.
I think you must have been Stu Francis in your younger days Harry. Ooh! I could crush a grape!!. I could test drive a Tonka .
Cheers Dave.
hiya,
Thatâs just about the limitations of my bravery streak Dave, just so long
as I can keep both feet on the deck and doesnât involve fisticuffs youâll
find I can be as hard as nails and tackle four year olds.
thanks harry, long retired.
Its better to be sensible than brave Harry, not that I fall into either category.
Cheers Dave.
Hiya,
Dawns the day when being sensible is essential, Itâs when you get old and being
so out of condition youâre unable to run away from pending bother.
thanks harry, long retired.

I always liked fighting,as long as it was watching someone else .

hiya,
Dave, Itâs rare to see a good fight (boxing) nowadays, I used to like a couple
of the old time heavyweights really going to town on each other I was never
very keen on the little fellahâs, Oh, yes bring back the âOur Henryâ types it
was good to watch, and I still say Cassius Clay was down and out as a result
of âHenryâs Hammerâ saved by the bell my arse.
thanks harry, long retired.

Quite agree Harry, the so called split glove saved Clay. A proper set up job to keep him earning the big money for the spongers. I think we have a few better heavyweights in the UK at the moment, than for some time. I would like to see Tyson Fury and David Price have a go.
Cheers Dave.

hiya,
Very little worth watching on the box these days, me for one am not much
of a viewer mainly playing about on the computer or doing crosswords I
have to admit Iâm not much of a whizz at either but the stuff that they
put on the box is out of the ark and most of the new stuff isnât to my
taste, my wife is an ardent viewer so the box is always switched on every
woken hour, but ask we whatâs been on or whatâs expected and I wouldnât
have a clue, sheâll say thereâs a film coming on that youâll like but a few
minutes later any interest has gone and Iâve plonked the computer back
on my knee and Iâm searching for something of interest, like Iâve often said
Iâd be better off back in the steam age, Ohâ yes a big spanner and an even
bigger hammer and Iâd be in my element.

Trying to watch the football on TV tonight on BT sport, purchased through sky. The picture kept freezing and disappearing, so I rang sky up and told this gentleman from the land of tigers, that if sky didnât get an engineer out here pretty quickly, that I would be cancelling my sky. To cut a long story short, an engineer is supposed to be coming on Monday after 12 noon. I also had a good whinge about their prices, and told him that I would be back on the phone soon to review my package.
Cheers Dave.

Dave, looks like your engineer is coming from India, Monday !!! Thatâs quick eh? I bet theyâd be faster if they were fitting a new system. Regards Kev.

Dave it might be the mountains causing you trouble
, but I would put my money on low thick rain clouds or the transponder on your dish playing up, I have had two since it went digital. When I first went on in the 80âs I moved in 1998 then after a few years they put up a new dish.

hiya,
Nosser youâre getting far too technical again dishes and transponders indeed
whatâs wrong with the âtapâ with the big hammer method, thatâs sure fire, if
you arenât in possession of a hammer Iâll buy you one just donât baffle people
with science, digital TV my daughter has that, I donât but genuinely canât tell
the difference just a money making scam by Sky.
thanks harry, long retired.

No mountains causing satellite problems. I think the dish has moved with builders putting scaffolding up to repair frost damage from last winter, then removing it. This dish replaced my old one when HD came in. You are right Harry HD isnât much better than ordinary sky, another rip off. As soon as they sort my dish Iâm going to ask them to cut my monthly charge.
Cheers Dave.

hiya,
My missus agrees with me (and thatâs a first) about this new fangled HD thingy,
she canât understand what all the hype is about and states ( it just looks the
same to me) thatâs the first time sheâs volunteered to save me money, actually
I get a better picture through the old aerial and the built in free-view channels
when of course the Sky box and the dish are bypassed.
thanks harry, long retired.

Hi Harry,
Got a so called sky engineer calling this afternoon. We do watch quite a bit on the sport channels, also the discovery channel, otherwise we would get shot of sky and just have freeview. Living out here we have to watch all the survival type programs to survive ourselves.
Cheers Dave.
There I must dis-agree with you, a lot donât get it click in to HDM1 to recieve it correctly, they are on AV1, best way to get them is press programs then you can see the selections on the top, use your left arrow to move along to the end and when HD come up click on it, and it brings up all the programs you can get that are HD, click on it, and you can see the difference, the blades of grass, pimples on peoples faces, it is brighter clearer, I know straight away when Iâm not on the correct channels.

In our case the dish had moved Norm. The engineer who is a local bloke showed us on his meter, he soon sorted it. Got good pictures now.
Cheers Dave.
