Good luck yo your wife Norm. Please assure her that me and Harry will keep a close watch on all roads leading north from Northampton while she is away.
Cheers Dave.

Tell her to ask for an Epidural anaesthesia Norm, I did for my knee job, they gave me the choice, Epidural numbs you from the waist down, no problems, no recovery times as from a general anaesthetic etc, cup of tea and a sandwich when they’d finished. Took em 1hr. 50 mins to do my knee, I was chatting to them all the while, (although with all the hammering and sawing I thought at times he was building a shed). :stuck_out_tongue: 6 months later it’s been 100% success.

Brian the wife had her knee done nearly 5years ago, she sailed through that, was walking on crutches the next morning, she went down town after two weeks on her own, the surgeon was ever so pleased, he said I can do a good job, but if the patient don’t try to keep moving, it is a waste of time, its a joy to see you walking so good!

hiya,
Dave why don’t you and the family buy him a young thing for his coming
birthday that’ll slow the old fellah’ down and keep him quiet for a day or
two, although the young stuff didn’t slow Charlie Chaplin down very much
now did it  he got Oona up the stick when he was a canny age, better
still buy him a bottle of single malt he might invite me down for a tipple.
thanks harry, long retired.

He wouldn’t be interested Harry, after his wife died he kept working and watching sport-football,cricket anything on sky sports. He played football until he was 40 for a local team. He’s happy with his lot.He was a Bevin boy during the war,so like yourself he knows what mining is like.
Cheers Dave.

Forget the young things, he’d be far better off with a decent bottle, leave the young things to the young bucks, they think they invented the job. Get him a bottle.

Most of them off here are watching " The Magnificent Seven " for about the twentieth time. :open_mouth:
