I might just drink it Larry now that the cold weather is approaching rapidly, my neice usually gives me a bottle for either my birthday or christmas (only 4 days apart) but it will not be a single malt, just Sainsburys finest, so I will line it up with the rest! Having said that, we have a cabinet by this computer full of miniatures that have been untouched for at least thirty years plus a couple of full size Bells in the bell shaped Wade bottles so I could practice on those I guess? If I am not logged in for a week or two then you will know why!

Dave they will get nowt here as I wont open the door at night, miserable old sod aint I?

Pete.

Trick or treat merchants that come here get a shock Pete**.Not wishing to sound a killjoy.I don’t believe in it.**They get a fright if they come down my drive. :imp:
Cheers Dave.

It’s an American tradition and they can stuff it. :imp: I’m not allowed to go to the door on trick or treat night after the unfortunate incident a couple of years ago when I terrified a flock of youngsters, It’s begging and the sad part is that parents ENCOURAGE their children to do it, they are usually standing at the gate watching. They are, IMO, prostituting their children.
Sorry, rant over.
As for malts…Islays are the best. I’m well in to a very nice bottle of Ardbeg. Oh yes.

What a load of miserable old scrooges we have have on this thread today,    it is a sign we are getting towards panto season. :open_mouth: :open_mouth: :open_mouth: When we were kids we didn’t have Tv’s, phones, central heating, which we have now. And if you watched E.T. and several other films you would see american children dressing up and enjoying themselves, so it’s only a matter of time before English children want it as well. I for one alway have a jar of sweets,    to give to them if they trick or treat. We have had the egg treatment, but we informed the parents and it was sorted. But I still remember when I was a kid, and we made a guy and pushed a cart around with it on and a notice asking for a penny for the guy, and it made our day to get the tin can that hung on his neck full of coins.   I have always said I was Peter Pan of the lorry drivers, a kid at heart!   Also if thats what malt whisky make you become, :unamused: :unamused: :unamused: a grumpy old men, I will never let it touch my lips or throats. :smiling_imp: :smiling_imp: :smiling_imp:
