Hi,
lve just been looking through an old post l put on TN old northamptonshire companys and have come across your post. as a kid l remember when out with my late father working with the joyce brothers of burton latimer l even went out in a few of there wagons when my father was on the same job as them
My late father drove this truck for a while
My Late father also drove for royal blue up until they sold off most of their fleet leaving only a couple of trucks one being the artic, l remember the marathon (use to park behind the old petrol station on london road) and he most of the fleet at one time or another but mainly on the scammell routemans then the leyland contructor finally ending his driving days with them driving the FL7 6x4 tipper
One of my old friends father (ingrum) drove one of these old scanias (maybe even this one) l remember going out in it when l was a kid !
My late father drove the a variety of trucks for royal blue, including the Volvo artic which he worked out of ABR for number of years. I used to go with him as a kid, loved it. Great memories
