so sorry to hear the news about prattman ,have shared a few threads of conversation on hear with him over last year or so and he helped me find some old photos of the trucks I used to drive…i never met him personally but to go to so much effort to research and find stuff on line and post it for a total stranger showed his kind helpful character ,a sad loss R I P PRATTMAN OUR THIUGHTS ARE WITH YOU AND YOUR FAMILLY,Paul

I worked for Rosehill trucking consett in 1978.They had a fleet consisting of ford D- series,Leyland Buffalo,Leyland super comet, and scammell crusader, also 2 Leyland terriers. They stored and hauled for Amoco fabrics,Celluware table mats,Kimberly Clark,Applied chemicals Birtley, liner concrete gateshead and Vinyl products of carshalton surrey. The firm was owned by Burt and Margaret Kennedy from wallsend who were originally teamed up with frank kearney transport consett. They moved to walker in newcastle in 1983 and began to do some sub-contract work for jr adams at fisher st walker. The pictures show a leyland terrier loaded with steel drums from vinyl products, and a leyland Bison bought from vynal products loaded with steel from spartan redheugh gateshead delivering to a steel stockholder in glasgow.
