Some advertisements on Perlini
Some special examples of old Lancia’s…the Esatau in normal control and front and the Esagamma
as well as the Esadelta. Lancia had several supliers to deal with the extra requirements on axles:
Battaglino, Fresia, Girelli, Perlini, Orlandi, Viberti and Saim

A badge-engineered Fiat, made before Unic started to use the 1970 Fiat cab. According to the Wikipedia page, Fiat and Unic merged in 1966, which explains the existence of the vehicle. It seems an unnecessary addition to Unic’s range, given that their own cab was not, on the face of it, inferior to the Fiat one. Can anyone shed (pun intended) any light on this?
Spotted this elderly Fiat on a lowloader at the recent Retro Truck Show at Gaydon. Judging by the four-wheel-drive and the lettering on the cab doors, my basic Italian tells me it was a mobile drilling rig of some kind. It will be nice to see once it gets restored.

Anorak…would it be anything to do with taxes ?
Perhaps if it was a “UNIC” it wouldn’t be taxed as high as perhaps on an Italian Fiat, which would be subjected to import tax ?..only guessing…

I’ve had this little 3" model for years, always thought it was a Faun, but now I know it’s a Perlini. No idea who made it, no markings at all. Thanks for the photo !
