you would need to be really quick if trying to stall it, ditto cutting off the air supply. The revs pick up almost as quick as full throttle in neutral. Once it is going all you can do is watch. The one in the video lasted well though, when it happened to me the engine seized is 2-3 minutes total.

It’s commonish for it to happen in the workshop and there’s a much better chance of catching it before the damage is significant compared with if you’re in the middle lane of the motorway and it’s going to take time to pull up on the hard shoulder.
