the trucks they drive are always clean with next to no damage on them, no wonder they win big contracts,

wake up, they get the contracts because they can afford to do it cheaper than a smaller firm, not because their lorries are clean

so if two companies put in the same bid for the same contract and one has wagons and trailers that are bollocksed but promises to get new ones when the contract is in place and the other is stobarts, who is going to get the contract? eh?

Depends who the other company is, but going solely off what youve put, Stobarts because they have enough back up to cover breakdowns etc hence there because less chance of a failed or late delivery.

hello wake up and smell the coffee, its not about image anymore its about price, stobbies go in cheap get the contract then up the price ask steve from walkers when he nicked the belgium job, and its not about breakdown backup either DHL used to have all johnson controls work for BMW,JAGUAR and MCLAREN then acumen went in with a cheaper quote and got the work,so look at the size of DHL the largest haulage company in the world, its all about PRICE :unamused:

so if two companies put in the same bid for the same contract and one has wagons and trailers that are bollocksed but promises to get new ones when the contract is in place and the other is stobarts, who is going to get the contract?eh?

do you really not know giblsa?
ok i’ll try to make it simple.

you’re the boss giblsa and you want a haulier to move your stuff
haulier A has 500 clean new vehicles and needs to make £12 clear profit on each one to make the contract pay,
haulier B has 500 not the cleanest vehicles but only needs to make £8 clear profit on each one to make the contracy pay.
stobarts come along with their 1500 vehicles and needs to make only £4 clear profit on each one to make the contract pay.
you’re sat at your desk looking at A he’s offering clean new lorries and has put in a good bid, he makes money you make money.
then you’re looking at B he’s offering older lorries but his bid is a third less than A, he’s making money, but you’ll now be making a third more than you would with A, …bye bye A.
then you’re looking at stobart he’s offering old or new lorries but because he’s got more lorries he can do it for a third less again than B, he’s making money but now you’ll be making another third more than you would with B.
bye bye B
who is going to haul your goods giblsa?
