hiya,
Going for my “C” thingy check up on Tuesday Norm, i feel OK right now but am having a bit of trouble with my diabetic medication at the moment so i’ll have to make an appointment with my GP to get that sorted before i go on holiday on August the first, the Old Lady is giving me earache for leaving it to the last minute was prescribed a new tablet a couple of weeks ago and it’s not agreeing with me, might give the doc a miss and visit the vet, the love of my life says i’m barking mad anyway.
thanks harry long retired.

hiya,
Thanks Keith I don’t think there’s anything wrong it’s just the medication that needs adjustment been in touch with the doc today and i’ve got to stop taking the new pills until i have some more tests done on Friday, the hospital checks tomorrow are just to make sure the “C” thingy is under control, have just been having a bad reaction to a new drug i’ve been trying but that’s for the diabetes only, hell fire i’ve just re=read what i’ve written and i sound like the wreck of the Esperus still got a pulse and a heartbeat though so must still be alive.

Harry you know my feelings, I liked you before I met you, and double that after meeting this funny lancastershire man with a slight geordie accent, carrier bag in his hand and a plastic cup full of whiskey, you take care and get yourself back in top condition, for I would like to meet up again, and maybe if I can still drive around I may get to see Chris, Dave, and that young rogue Keith, and Dave are you still in to C/ westerns, I have a cowboy hat and belt buckle with a old silver dollar, also a string tie again with a silver dollar clasp, got them when I was in USA in the 80/90’s.

We will have to form our own band " the codgers cowboy trucking company ".
Cheers Dave.

Dave you could not get any more cowboys than Harry & me, but then again with all the dodge’s that Chris has had, he must be way up there with us.    :unamused: :unamused: :unamused: :unamused:    , you will have to tell us some dates, and see if we can make it to one of them.

hiya,
Now then Norman why are you trying to make me more confused than i really am, what or who are the magnificent seven, never heard of them.
thanks harry long retired.

Harry it was a film with YUl Brenner playing the lead.

hiya,
Don’t do films Norm, the last one i went to was as a little fellah it was the Wizard of Oz on it’s original run, I was’nt impressed and never been since it was maybe i started my working carreer as a coalminer and did’nt like sitting in the dark.     .
thanks harry long retired.

Harry is that why you gave up being a miner, I bet I know why you never slept in your cab, it is because you don’t like being in confined places    , Harry you always bring up something, you crack me up.

hiya,
Nowt to do with confined spaces Norm, but after doing a shift on the road no way was i prepared to be a freebie nightwatchman when i got parked and into the digs they could have burned it, stole it, or drained it i could’nt give a ■■■■, fortunately i never had problems, the listed digs in my little book was home from home only ever drove a couple of sleeper cabbed things and they could’nt tempt me away from digs, used to marvel at some of the guys in their efforts to try and make day cabbed things into sleepers, lumps of wood parts of the old three piece suite came into use i could’nt be bothered, but i suppose some guys must have thought me odd parking a sleeper cabbed F88 and walking off the car park with my little case, i’d most likely be fed, showered and making for the nearest boozer while they was still fabricating somewhere to kip.
