Anyone got any pics of D H Jones Hino tippers  seem to remember them having a good sized fleet unless it was just me being a little lad at the time

Hi Neil, I remember those Hino’s. Light blue with a white stripe, used to load coal back north out of South Wales colliery’s.
Didn’t they have fuel card/ bunkering service business as well ?

Regards Paul.

Thats the ones Paul

DH Jones had a fuel delivery business on Wrexham industrial est. They were distributors for AMOCO . And ran in AMOCO livery .it was run by one of the brothers Edwin Jones. He started out in the coal business in Ruabon station yard I think until AMOCO built the fuel storage depot .He later had anther depot just before you got to Bangor.AMOCO used to send up to 50,000 galls a day into Wrexham and a couple of loads a day to Bangor.i don’t know what happened when AMOCO finished trading in 1984. When elf took over Amoco garages and Wincanton took the trucks and deliveries and I took the redundancy.
