Why do Cawley’s have so many different liveries, ■■ (I prefer the maroon version)
but they all look well.

There was a firm from east yorkshire ,beverley area with the exact same livery ,can i eck remember the name of them

Ive got it ,it was watt bros had the same livery ,not the ones from malton ,they did alot of kraft general food work ,some years ago now.

The. J Shone and sons closed in 1994 ish there was Clive Shone who started with a LAD cab Leyland late 70s maybe related to him.?
The shone motor in the picture used to also have a MAN last time I passed him on the 56, not sure where the family link is…sure some one will know …BArry Waddy■■? Any info

Hello steelboy , talking of LAD cabs , J Shonehad a Dodge 6 wheeler with that sort of cab , Do you remember it ? it had a tent tarpaulin to protect the mild steel it would haul to Electrolux , and the people that made fridges on the south coast . thank you Trevor

Hi Trevor! don’t remember it myself! but ex driver tommy Wilson told me they drove it…claim to fame braked on the corner at church road and the cab tipped up one morning.
