yeah you wont find a truck running bent on the uk roads would you
dont ever read about any in the truck mags
i dont have a bag of chips on my shoulder is the difference
You need correcting on that one you will find a percentage of trucks running bent every day, but Itās a lot lower percentage than farmers with no regard for any law. and by the way ⦠I donāt have a chip on my shoulder but I do have a problem with farmers as I had a good mate and father of two kids, killed by a farmer leaving ā ā ā ā on the road so donāt start me on this one!!! you just carry on justifying there couldnāt give a ā ā ā ā attitude.

Iāve heard that Trading Standards donāt bother fining farmers who cross with tractor/trailers clearly way over 18t though
probably because its nothing to do with them
same old story same old face,s
They carry out enough spot checks around here alongside VOSA, Oxon County Council and Thames Valley Police so it must have something to do with one of them? Why should a lorry crossing that bridge over 18t mgw be an offence and not tractor/trailer? Itās quite common to see a John Deere pulling a low loader with a PC130 excavator crossing that bridge and I bet that lot weighs more than 18tā¦

There are Farmers who flout the law a lot worse than hauliers. Not all Farmers, some abide by the rules like some of the hauliers, but the Farming fraternity do get away with far more than hauliers or builders especially when it comes to making a mess on the roads.Obviously they canāt help bringing mud onto the road but in the main they donāt make any effort to clean the roads after whereas a haulier does.

I mentioned it to a trading standards guy today who was testing our weighbridge; he said they can and do farmers, normally cooperating with VOSA and police. The bridge in question is harvest time for them according to him.
