As a point of principle I wouldn’t do them for that. Would your boss whilst on business pay himself that amount?

i thought you were older than that ROF , my first night out paid 12/6 , mid 60s

12/6 = 62.5p

The Taxman’s allowances refer to the amounts which the taxman will automaticaly allow for a night out in the cab. If costs greater than that are incurred, then they can be reclaimed (receipts required). If you told an office worker that they could not go home tonight and had to spend the night in a dark lonely place with no food or toilets, the offer of £25 compensation woulf probably not be greeted with great enthusiasm.

You have got that spot on.

£25 a night is nowhere near enough for the ‘privelige’
