Night closures, highways agency

How many of you got caught out with the closure of the A45 at Raunds in the night? I cant wrong the guys for closing the road, but they really should make a decent effort to advise drivers in advance. It really boils my โ– โ– โ– โ–  that so many needless miles are added to the nights work. :smiling_imp: :smiling_imp:

So how much notice do you want? Ever thought it was an emergency closure ie hole appeared in the road due to collapsed drains

Youโ€™ll probably find there was a matrix sign warning of the closure somewhere completely irrelevant like up near Gateshead or down Cornwall. Thatโ€™s usually how they work.

Even those, especially HA are unreliable in posting advanced warnings of road closures!
