Hey everyone , Its been a little while since my last post so I’ve revive my thread to tell all what’s been happening.
First of all , STUDYING…AND…MORE STUDYING; kinda feels like I am back at college and school again
I purchased the DTS Hazard Perception and DTS LGV Theory/Multiple choice tests to practise on my Laptop , It set me back £40 but hell it is worth it and wouldn’t be without it now. Its a great confidence booster when you complete the mock tests and have Passed it. It also gives you the feeling that you are getting somewhere and that drives you forward in itself.
The books I bought a while back are great to take the information in with to begin with; At first I was surprised of how much there was you need to know and off the top of your head when it comes to the tests and while you are working as a trucker.( May explain why alot of drivers out there think they are not getting paid enough I suppose
)
Another great thing Is having people there to edge you on and support you in this whole task. Without having people around you to give you that kick up the ■■■■, it does make things alot harder, which in some cases I feel for those who are on their own while learning to be a trucker or have been in the past.
I already know now that " oh im gunna be a truck driver just like that, its easy " is a crock of Poop!!! , There is way more too it than that and what is involved. You really need your heart set on it else you are wasting your time and money in my eyes.
As for my revising for the Theory side of things I can say that I’ve been hitting the pass marks on both tests on the programs quite easily thanks to the studying.
My Multiple choice, Hazard perception and CPC has now been booked a few weeks ahead and spread over a little gap from each other so I can really nail the top marks.
Hazard Perception: 27th August
Multiple Choice: 5th September
CPC Case Studies: 10th September
My reason for doing it this way is so I can focus on each individual one closer to each test and not rush it. Some may not agree with my method but I find it works best for me.
Hope you enjoy the read and can relate to it
