New job. Tugger gets pulled!

As other guy said, people like this need naming and shaming - if nothing else than to save another driver gettin’ into the same [zb] you’re in.

Also, if you do want to post his number, I’m sure there’s a few of us trampers that have nothing better to do at 4am, than drop him a line about the vehicle being broken down - a name of another employee would help in that case - Hi, it’s Jim, the truck won’t start… etc

D F Transport(melton mowbray), although after doing a search today I see that not only has he a new sister company called D F Global Logistics I also found his application to vosa for an o license for 2 vehicle and 2 trailers so he must of been running without one. His brother standing in as transport manager to even though he has nothing to do with the firm as he wont work for his brother as he doesnt trust him :unamused: and if anyone wants his number google will easily throw it up
I am so ■■■■■■ off now I am thinking the only way forward is to pay him a visit I am fed up with his bull. He text me earlier saying he will pay me when he has some money and not to threaten him. Luckily for him I was too busy after 4pm and forgot all about it so it looks like he has the weekend to breath until I catch up with him. Just thinking about when would be the best time to “surprise him” will be although I doubt the ■■■■ will have any money on him so will probably be a wasted journey and I will end up doing something stupid when I lay my eyes on his smug grin :smiling_imp:

Well the [zb] hasn’t paid me yet. I rang vosa this morning to get advice and they will be happy to follow up the claims I asked for advice on if I choose to report it. I tried ringing the ‘gaffa’ and he got his mate to ring me back and tell me he’s a bit lean at the minute but will pay me when it picks up! Cheeky [zb]. So while digging round the net on my phone I’ve found his o license application that is open to objection till 3rd November 10 for two units and two trailers not the four he’s currently running which may be with no o license? I’ve told his mate I want the money by 4 or I’ll make sure he loses everything so we’ll see what happens I guess. I don’t want to report him even though he’s a little scrote I just want my wages but seeing as he will be leaving me in the [zb] I’m happy to do the same!

oh dear, its now 1610, do we assume poor ollienotts is now at the bottom of the river trent with a lead weight attached to his foot??

No I was working :unamused: Thanks for the helpful post you stupid prick

geez, was merely a TIC in reference to you other post

Know it`s not nice working for nowt but would make the calls to the authorities, object to the o licence apps and unforunately chalk the rest down to a bad experiance. If you take things into your own hands the scumbag will have won and you will have a criminal record.

I’ve always been of the opinion that if you give someone a good enough hiding they will not go to the old bill, so far so good in my case :sunglasses:

I had two of these ■■■■■■■■■ try and knock me for money, the first one got collected from his local and delivered to a cashpoint whereby he withdrew my money, he had already been shown that it would be in his best interests to do this :open_mouth: The other prick had to swap my wages for the return of his lorry, he tried getting the law involved saying I’d nicked it, but he was running on his mates O licence so everything was in his mate’s name, when plod showed up to arrest me I showed them the log book, insurance green card etc for the lorry I had in my possession, they went away satisfied, then his mates turned up to be met with my mates who just happened to be a little bit bigger and more scary, et voila, he then worked it all out and turned up with my cash :open_mouth:

From these experiences I learned one thing, if ever I worked for someone a bit dodgy on the money front, I make sure that I can knock them out with one punch, just in case they get a bit shy when it comes to paying me, rumours that I only work for very small chaps and women are untrue…honest

Ollienotts go round to his house and stick the head on him !!!

Objections to your goods vehicle operator’s licence application

As well as notice of your application being published in a local newspaper it must also be published in the Traffic Commissioner’s ‘Applications and Decisions’ after which statutory bodies have the right to object to the application for a further 21 days.

The following bodies have a right to object to you being granted a goods vehicle operator’s licence or to any changes or variations in the licence which must be published:

  • the police
  • a local authority - but not a parish council
  • a planning authority
  • the British Association of Removers
  • the Freight Transport Association
  • the General and Municipal Workers’ Union
  • the National Union of Rail, Maritime and Transport Workers
  • the Road Haulage Association
  • the Transport and General Workers’ Union
  • the Union of Shop, Distributive and Allied Workers
  • the United Road Transport Union

For more information about making variations to your licence, see our guide on making changes to your goods vehicle operator’s licence.

Objections have to be made in writing to the Traffic Commissioner. They can relate to your suitability as an applicant or the suitability of the operating centre you intend to use. A copy of the letter, stating the grounds of the objection, must also be sent to you.

Any objections must reach the Traffic Commissioner no later than 21 days after your application is published by the traffic area office. For more information about publications, see our guide operator’s licences for goods vehicles: the basics.

If objections are received, the Traffic Commissioner may grant the licence with conditions attached to it or may call you and the objectors to a public inquiry.

No one else has any right of objection, but the Traffic Commissioner can consider relevant representations from any other interested party, such as:

  • other operators
  • owners or occupiers of land surrounding your proposed operating centre
  • members of the public with an interest in the land surrounding your proposed operating centre

You have the right to appeal to the Upper Tribunal if your application is refused, or if the licence is granted with conditions on it which you believe to be unfair.

Or:

Not saying you carried on working despite not being paid, but I’ve worked with plant ops that have been owed several weeks and sometimes months wages yet they’ve carried on working. I couldn’t do that, I’d down tools until they’d paid up. Luckily, I’ve never been in this position, but I do think in your case a complaint to Vosa with your evidence/experience is the way to go…

Well thanks for the replys. My biggest concern right now is that after I have paid the bills we have £50 to buy food for the month to feed 5 of us :open_mouth: Now I have had enough and am going round to see the little ■■■■ first thing in the morning and if I cant feed my family because he wont pay then he is gonna have to face the consequences. And then I will make a decision on what to do regarding vosa. I dont think he will get near an o license once the authorities have his details and investigate I suspect I only know a small part of what has really been going on but then it is up to them to find out. And then there is the death threat from mr powerful at SJA in scotland to have to deal with if he has the police sniffing round his company he is very powerfull after all :unamused:
I would put it down to experience if I didnt need the cash to feed my family but as I wont be paid from new job until end of Nov it is leaving an extremely bitter taste in the mouth right now :imp:

Good luck Ollie, take a couple of your biggest mates with you, but be prepared, have a letter with you saying that due to non payment of wages you’re holding goods to the value of in lien, then if it looks like you ain’t getting your money, you and your mates march into his office/house/whatever and take his computer/flat screen TV/whatever, if he don’t pull out his wallet, he loses his stuff, simple

Then I’d leave it a while and return late on a dark night armed with a couple of tubes of superglue and get busy squirting it in any lock you find, squirt it into the door frames and along the rubber seals at the top and bottom of the windows too, that will be really costly to put right, pin holes in the fuel lines on the lorries can be a bugger to find too, they will keep sucking air and conking out and will leave him right in the brown stuff, put a box of confetti in the diesel tanks too for good measure, they’ll spot that easy enough and think that’s the problem, then they’ll still keep playing up, let all the tyres down, etc etc etc :imp:

Don’t get mad, get even, just don’t get caught :imp:

a couple of Mars bars in the diesel tanks works wonders
Same effect as a bag of sugar but takes a while to become effective :exclamation: :exclamation:

Or so MMTM

i mate sorry to hear about your problem i once had the same problems was working four a company that was just ■■■■ about the same as your experience anyway i was stuggling to get my wages so phoned transport manager to tell him i was going to vosa got a text message to say if i go to vosa i ort to book my own funeral so got straght in my car and went to is house with a can of petrol 5 liter can of petrol put a bit of petrol in bottom then top it right up with water you still get the strong smell of petrol but with no fire so stood outside next to his car got him to come out poured it all over his car and stood there with a liter never seen some one move so fast to get my money never heard any frets again and got all my money

Could say that.
To cut a long story short there was no violence. However I did take a dumb bell bar with me incase it was needed, I got wind through someone he knows that his truck was at a mechanics yard so I went up there and sat in it on the advice of one of the mechanics who then put a massive iron pole infront of my cab telling his mate it was his :astonished: So as he turned his back I snuck the keys from the ignition and jumped out as if answering the phone(ringing mrs) and walked casually up to my car and shot off
When he found out he said he will ring police and I invited him to based on the fact that I have much less to lose then he has and when he offered me half today and half monday I knew I had won :sunglasses: He rang me and said he had full amount and would meet me in Notts so I drove down in me dads motor to make sure he wasnt surrounded by boys waiting to kick me and took the cash and checked before he got the keys just to ■■■■ him off more  and the cheeky mare text me 10 mins later saying when you ready to start back then?  I ignored as it must of been a mistake. I really wanted to lamp him but thought as I had got the money off him and I was in a carpark surrounded by cameras it was not best idea so all in all very happy. Not happy waiting obviously but having him squirm and beg me for the keys was great stuff really made my day and now he knows he shouldnt ■■■■ around with folks wages.
Thanks for the advice anyway guys alls well that ends well :sunglasses:

Don’t worry about hijaking the thread, your story was more interesting, and had a happy ending!

Me… I am hanging on for a while, driving the shed, but if I keep getting tugged I will blow. One driver says he got pulled three times in one day by Vosa, and got checked properly every time.

They didn’t short my hours at the end of the week and I did ok money wise, and the shed does in fact run beautifully (they have their own garage). The job is pretty easy, except for having find commercial nurseries in the dark, then to run double deckers up farm tracks to them.
Inside the premises at the yard, all the warning signs etc are in Polish, and when I get to the nurseries the signs are all in Portuguese, what the heck is going on in this country?

I am waiting to hear of a job where my brother in law works, which pays a better base rate and pays overtime after 8 hours, or… back to Canada to work.
