New job and some advice please

brit pete:
Semtex, PULL; the Drivers window blind down and have a notice
fitted stateing CHECK TRUCK & TRAILER again before MOVEING OFF;
used to do this whilist driveing TANKERS as it is possible to forget something
as we are human :slight_smile: ;has helped me more than once :smiley:

Exactly ,we had a sticker made and stuck it right in front of the driver on the dash so you couldnt miss it!

It says;
“Have you turned the PTO off”
“Have you put the crane down”
" Have you got your straps /chains"
" Well Done! Now put your legs up"!

trust me it does help!

Best of luck mate

well done and best of luck with the job semtex,the best advice i can give re:brick/block,especially regarding building sites: always take a few minutes to walk down into the site and ensure you can get in/out without risking damage to your vehicle or there property,every site is different mate,but most importantly remember…YOU ARE NOT A SITE LABOURER :open_mouth: if they want the packs of whatever on pallets then it’s there job to not only supply pallets but to lay the ■■■■ things out,you should expect a labourer to stay with you until the loads tipped…i’ll be looking out for ya mate :exclamation: :wink: :laughing: pm me or bricktrotter for mobiles,he’s got the best knowledge of brickyards/site etc if you need to.

Congratulations dude, must be a load of your mind, Evans seem a decent outfit too so hopefully there won’t be any more musical chairs for a while.

Perhaps somebody mentioned than before: watch out for cables! Secondly, depends on the outfit, when operating the crane, do not choose the controls that are too close to exhaust.

just a little bump incase any of the trampers can add anything :wink: :smiley:

Good to hear ur back on tarmac again fella

er thats as in on the road :unamused:
