Is it the Strap Safe system?

Seen DS Smith using them, certainly useful for strapping tall paper reels.

Doubt you would ever see that specced by many general hauliers though where the trailers are getting hammered all the time & dropped on different sites, could see it getting knackered quite quickly. Plus, the whole system falls apart the moment someone loses the pole.

On the money here…most of our units are missing the pole…the system isn’t really robust with bungees getting damaged and the sliding tracks not playing ball…

We have fashioned some hooks for retrieving the strap if you forget to loosen off the straps first. Taken me a week to get into a good routine with it but I have to say I am well impressed. For our use it is perfect solution.

For our use in a small company and only three people using it, it fits the bill. I can imagine if it was let loose on a large fleet they would soon be damaged or tired. It’s the old old story, there’s drivers and then there’s drivers. I am guessing anyone who isn’t employing a regular workforce aren’t the sort to pay for extras like that.

We load viewtopic.php?f=4&t=152850 26 potato boxes. It is far quicker than flinging straps over and rolling them up afterwards. Ideal for our work

Must be a bit over weight then, 26 would take you to 48tonne, 24boxes is about right, 25 at a push.

Depends on the boxes and how full they are. We grow and load them. I was slightly overweight yesterday. 44020.
