New Actros revealed

My 63 plate Euro 6 Daf has them, the older 13 plates 105’s don’t. You do notice the difference.

Remove the mirrors and put the tablet screen in there place. And all you have done is create a bigger blind spot on the A pillas .Think i would
rather have the mirrors back .Also looking at the pictures of the interior looks like there is going to be a few sore heads around when climbing
in vehicle.

As for the ride of an Actros, I know an Owner Driver who specified cab air suspension on his, I think he said it was a £600 option, reckons it’s made a massive difference, not sure why they don’t offer that as standard.

I drive ones on full air suspension and although the ride is firm, it isn’t what I’d call uncomfortable and I prefer the harder ride (oh! Ah! Madam  ) to the MP3 we have, which feels like trying to steer while sitting on top of a space hopper.

Could you pls post picture of yr truck with rear airbags under cab please? As ive never seen one and my mate is after one like that…
they rare like hens teeth in UK…

Mine hasn’t got cab air suspension, that’s one belongs to an Owner Driver I know, I could ask him for a photo, the one I drive is a 4x2 on full air suspension.

Will it be aloud in to London with no mirrors

If the driver is lucky it’ll be banned.
The regs will have to be reworked to allow “rear view cameras” as well as mirrors. The same way lane departure black boxes are now allowed into field of view on windscreens etc.

To go off thread for a second…
That’s a classic example of how ‘‘unsafe practices’’ suddenly and miraculously become ‘‘safe’’ when it suits.
Pedantically speaking, that ■■■■ thing at the bottom of my windscreen is potentially capable of blocking out a pedestrian’s head on a crossing, or for a second or two obliterate the view of a car or bike in lane 1.
But…
A ■■■■ dreamcatcher in the windscreen (that can be seen right through) is a ‘‘killer’’ in terms of road safety. :unamused:

(It’s up there with drivers hours being relaxed in winter when 11 hours driving is no longer akin to mass murder.)
Just saying like.

But I still think the actros is Junk, and mirrors should have been the last thing on their minds for… ‘‘Improvement’’ ? ,
On the upgrade of that truck.
Think I got away with that

If anyone has a dreamcatcher it should be an executionable offense.
