If you did the ‘B’ (car) test before 1997 the driver got D1 (102 code) and C1 put on their licence.

That’s another interesting question. My girlfriend did her license before 1997. Will she get D1 and C1 if she exchange her Polish license into British one?

not a clue

If I remember i’ll call DVLA and find out

GOT YOUR ANSWER FROM DVLA -

The entitlements on the Polish licence will get transferred to the UK one BUT no new ones will be added.

If she has D1(102) and C1 already on it they will be transferred but, if not, she will not get them.

Just a little question,

if you are in the uk driving on a foreign issued licence, then I thought a producer would not be given as the licence should be carried on your person. as should all vehicle documents if it is foreign registered.

I think in that case UK laws will apply - I was stopped by police when I had no license on me and I hadn’t any problems with that.

It’s the same when you are going with your british license and in your british car to Poland - you have to carry all documents with you all the time, as required in Poland, even if by british law you don’t have to. And, what else, if you don’t, your car may be even towed away to police parking and you’ll be fined.
