I think it was quite obvious (except to the cyclist doing the filming) that he moved forwards in order to let traffic behind him get onto the left filter. You can see them clearly getting through when he’s moved up a tad.
I would call this considerate driving, from someone who is obviously aware of what is going on around him.
Any pedestrians wishing to cross have these things called legs which would have been able to steer them around the front of his truck.

Sure we all overshot junctions in our driving life.
In fact I’ll hold my hands up and say I do this everyday in the coach!!!
Coming out of one of our big corporate customers and heading back to the yard there is a set of traffic lights and keep clear markings, the only way to clear the keep clear and sit at the lights comfortably is to slightly overshoot a bit
