Vig,
What is the position now ? What is your next move - hope you are pushing on !
Vig, you don’t want to be dis-heartened. We’ve all probably been in that situation if we are honest. I know I have. The day after passing my class 1 the gaffer sent me for a drop in the centre of Leicester I was in an ERF with twin split box which I’d never driven before, it was terrible crunching gears and all that. After finding drop and tipping I took wrong turning and like you met with a low bridge, however, this wasn’t at night but at 16.30 with queue building up behind me. I had to stop traffic and reverse into small yard to turn around, I was ■■■■■■■■ myself I can tell you. I have never been so relieved to get back to yard and finish. But I was back next day as it is a steep learning curve and passing your test is just the first step. You just have to stick with it and with more time and experience you will gain the confidence and nowt will faze you.
Best of luck with your new (old) job.
