For me, fuel consumption is in miles per litre, temperature in Celsius, sizes in either metric or imperial (engineering background), driving distances in hours, drink pints in the pub, litres everywhere else.

i also have a engineering background , 30 odd years . but i still cant visualise 0.1 mm but 004th"( 4 thousands of an inch) i can ■■ must be an age thing
