Missing junctions

Was that a brown leathery AA atlas? IIRC it had a clear plastic page with a grid pattern on it so you could work out rough distances between places.

No it hasn’t got a leather cover.Although I was born in Lancashire my family have Yorkshire roots.

thats better than my Tw4t Nav…was coming back from Paddock Wood the other wk, had the route in from there to here so that it would get the traffic info and was probably just over a mile from the M23 slip when it piped up ‘in 1 mile, continue to the left & follow the signs for the M4’

I bouught a “Mappy” Gps last year.It was nicked from my car(outside my house) & the [zb] who
nicked it arrived at the Gendarmerie(Cop Shop)to complain that they couldn’t work it. :open_mouth:

As it had “home” on the screen,it only took the gendarmes 3 days to work out who it belonged to.

Scots nicked it and fitted into M8 as “Junction 3A”

I can remember the M1 opening.

I remember seeing the proposed plans for the M18 and the new service area near Hatfield. The land was purchased, the groundworks and sliproads built, and it is still like that. You can see the shape of the services but it is used as a motocross track now.

Instead they built the M180 services a couple of miles up the road 30 years later :stuck_out_tongue:
