Oh! Don’t get me started! One of my real pet hates, once went 200k in the wrong direction because a bloke couldn’t keep it simple - like er, just the address please.

Nice one Mike, as ever.

the observations are just like peter kay

cracking mike, what happened to that online mag you was doing

Boo! Different day, different week, same craic !!!
Deja vous !

Ok, so i might have a fixation with smoke huts ! Tools for the day are;

Radio, pencil and a pad.

A box of ‘SALVOS’, they are a fitment that goes on the suzies and stops you moving a trailer and the corresponding key plugs into the traffic light at the side of the bay, key out and the warehouse staff can’t get into the trailer and you can take it off, key in and door open and you can’t get the key to remove the SALVO lock. Easy and very safe system. Foolproof i think ! I havn’t tested it yet !

A two speed (forward and reverse!) auto box, all done at the push of a button.

Nice comfy seat.

CD/radio player, and its a tug !

My favourite job this, you know when you start and finish. Nice brekky in the canteen, spend all day putting my thumb up to drivers (to ok them dropping their trailer off where they are dropping it anyway no matter what i say). Hope this one becomes a regular, or even dare i say a chance of a perm start. Not sure if anyone can guess where it is? If anyone would like an explanation of them SALVO locks i’ll be happy to put up a guide to using them. Anyway my hard days work over i nip in for my pint, we’ve been invaded by nutters!! I really need to get another life!!!

Ahhh, the cushy life of a shunter, eh??

Ref the smoke shelters, strange but true - they are/will be ileagal to smoke in as they are classed as ‘an enclosed space’. A place I knew had to take the sides off and just leave the roof.

LMAo, I’m having to not laugh too loud and wake the others in the house, being as it is 4-30 in the AM.

I think you’re an hour late for work!!!

:open_mouth: Hmm.

somebody needs to go to their profile and check the time zone is set to GMT

either that or leave it as the clocks change soon so it will be fine on GMT+1 :sunglasses:

very good!!! made me laugh

mike you crack me up mate  …hope it works out for ya

I don’t like those ‘Terdberds’.

We had nothing but trouble with ours. Not enough storage room for your nosebag either.

And no 12V for your DVD player.

Ahem, not that I’d ever have had chance to watch any DVDs. Far too busy for that!!

Good diary though Mike.

What a laugh, i signed on with the agency on Friday. They rang me midday on Monday, mike can you shunt in a tug? Yeah i can i used to do just that. ok, quick as you can make your way in. Start just before 1pm. Original guy never turned in at 6am, the replacement at about 10am said i’ve never drove atug before and don’t fancy it, so i was called in (nice to know they remember me and i’m top of the list !!!). Day , or the rest of goes without a problem. Can i come in at 6am in the morning? (this morning), yeah no problem see you then, agency confirms it. I get in at 6am to see a guy take off in the tug and the night shunter waves him bye bye !!! I go into the office, stand for a bit like a muppet (not hard i know). Then get told,“'the agency have overbooked, if you explain to the other guy the situation and you or he can go home the agency will pay you for the day”, it took me a nanosecond to work out 8hours pay at home or 12 hours pay for 12hours work, i was home by 7.15am after fuelling my car up on the way home  I never got to meet the other lad !!! Containers tommorrow, great stuff !!!
