Microwave in SSC XF105

Got an auto electrician coming down on Saturday to hopefully fit my Samsung road mate microwave into the middle locker of my DAF. Was just wondering if anyone has fitted the same and if you could tell me how easy it is and maybe send pictures of it fitted please?

I bought mine secondhand off eBay so o don’t have the brackets on the side for fitting into locker. Spoke to DAF and they want £106 just for the fitting kit without the wiring so going to try use some angle on either side to lift it up slightly in the locker so I’m able to open the door. Any pro’s and cons of doing it this way?

Brackets that come with Samsung microwave don’t lift it high enough to allow door to open,I just had two made to lift it higher not hard,wiring was at back of roof lining in centre locker,all pre wired just required 40 amp superfuse in fuse box,all pretty straight forward

Not an xf I know but in my fh I used some wooden battens glued and screwed together to raise the height and stop sideways movement in the locker .

Anyone any pictures to share of their microwave fitted into centre locker please?

Might be better to fit a big inverter and buy a cheap household microwave,I used to have a Samsung roadmate and the break quite often,just a thought :wink:
