Car drivers are all useless it seems!
Lorry drivers are all brilliant it seems!

Stop complaining about others when everyday we see very poor driving from many lorry drivers and far worse than anything mentioned here.

When you consider the amount of car drivers on the road compared to the number of truck drivers it would seem our standards are far worse and we are meant to be professionals. :unamused:

You do have a gift for taking any subject - any subject at all - and dragging it onto your favourite hobby horse. Why not start your own threads, instead of trolling other people’s and going out of your way to start arguments all the time? What’s the point in that? Even if you are right about the standards of lorry drivers (and I’m not saying you’re not), having the air of someone trying to start a fight in an empty room does you no favours.

That is your opinion and you are entitled to it but I get sick of hearing about all the bad drivers, cyclists, van drivers, pedestrians when we as professional drivers are just as bad if not worse.
I have started my own threads if you care to look.

Well mr Albion you do appear to have a boulder sized chip on you’re shoulder.
Maybe you have anger management issues.
Is there anything making you so sad that you have to come on here all the time spreading all that negativity.
Are you SURE you are not a wee guy?
Small guy syndrome was on the radio today, you can get help.

The only chip on my shoulder is the fact some lorry drivers have very poor standards and are pretty clueless.
I take it you are one that thinks lorry drivers can do no wrong or maybe you are one with poor standards but do not realise it like so many others.
Only yesterday we had a clown posting on here calling some other driver a ■■■■■■ when in fact he was the one in the wrong.
If you class 6’ 2 as wee then yes I am a wee guy.

Albion1971 has a point. You do see poor roadcraft from all road users at times.

But he does seem very keen to berate lorry drivers in particular, when in reality ALL road users are guilty of errors from time to time. Some more than others, it has to be said.

Have we seen any threads from Albion1971 criticising cyclists yet? There’s been plenty defending them. :grimacing:

Fair point Truckulent.
You are quite correct that I do berate lorry drivers more than others simply because I am one and I hate seeing such bad driving and poor standards as I get tarred with the same brush too often.

You are also quite correct when you say how poor other drivers and cyclists are and I totally agree.Standards are appalling all round and seem to be getting worse.

The thing that should put us apart from the others is we are meant to be professional drivers but in all honesty you would not think so from the poor driving you see everyday.

I get annoyed with idiotic cyclists like anyone else but they do not hold a vocational licence and most have had no training.
Not an excuse for them but what excuse do some of us have for being aggressive towards them as we see by posts on here every week.

As a truck driver and a cyclist I have more problems with trucks when I am on my bike than I do with cyclists when driving a lorry.

worst one ive seen lately is woodall s/b on the M1…every time im in there there are always cars riding round the truck park looking for the entrance to the fuel pumps…i ve been stopped and asked a few times when im out of the cab…bad signage i guess?

I also agree with Albion on bad lorry driving.I have noticed the East European drivers in the UK to be more polite pounding the tarmac and highways.
For the bad ones,i am not sure what their problem is.If stressed.Stop.
Make a brew.
Buy a brew and calm down. And they are still driving in to Mike Woods Msa in convoys of cars with that confused look.Chill out,it will be soon be Christmas.

I know there are more cars and vans on the road, but I see so much mindblowingly cretinous driving from cars and vans every single day mainly at off ramps, but in my experience, most, truck drivers drive in a safe and competent way.
The people that think we drive like morons, generally, don’t drive trucks, and don’t appreciate how long it takes to get 44 tons off from a standing start at a traffic island, for example.
You have to expect cars to dive bomb you these days, and I am ■■■■■■■ sick of it.
Whereas,it is a rare event for a fellow truckie to behave in that way.
I am talking about “up north”
Maybe it’s different “down south”

I’ve said it before, TROLL

Don’t feed it

Thread is about lorry’s wanting to back in to a bay with a car up the arse. Just an observation but the same old ■■■■ comes from the same person all the time. No fuss just crack on

Also has the insigna drivers taking over the BMW drivers role? I’ve been cut up three times by those pricks today.

They used to be Corsa drivers, but got so much in benefits and cutting hair for cash, they’ve managed to buy something bigger.

As per usual mickeyblue has nothing worthwhile to say. Why do you bother mickey. It would be good if you could give an opinion on something instead of your usual one line of nothingness… :unamused:

Hmm I bet almost all or a vey HIGH % have a car licence though and therefore know the rules of the road and wouldn’t do half the things they do in a car that they do on a bike
As a truck driver and a cyclist I have more problems with trucks when I am on my bike than I do with cyclists when driving a lorry.

Not knocking you but have you put yourself in some positions purely by accident IE not thinking being on the ball?? I kow I have in the past when watching what’s going on and trying not to get caught out by others

Not sure if you mean as a cyclist or when driving a truck but of course our concentration can never be 100% all of the time.
Yes we all make mistakes sometimes but some seem to do it far more than others.
As has been said many times there are dopey cyclists, dopey car drivers, and dopey truck drivers.
I am fairly certain that I do not fall into that category when riding or driving and if I ever do I will pack up.

Oh and…Hmm I bet almost all or a vey HIGH % have a car licence though and therefore know the rules of the road and wouldn’t do half the things they do in a car that they do on a bike

AGREED
