When I was in your position I would go the other way, not employ British. No financial reasons as everyone was paid the same. Just that most Brits are work shy and lazy as the day is long. Say what you want about EE but their work ethic is second to none, unlike a lot of Brits who think the world owes them a living.
if i was mayor of calais i would invest in a water tanker
then blast all these immigrant camps with high pressure water jets
then park near the port and blast all the immigrants and asylum seekers with high pressure water jets
then if was the prime minister i would invest in a load of heat seeking scanner to be installed as hgvs go on to the ferries
the scanners would be so powerful they would show if any human person is on or in any part of the lorry
then at home i would start rounding up illegals ,and put them on the ferry to calais to be waterjetted if they attempt to come back

The ‘same’ in this case being the same labour market rate based on the deliberately over supplied labour market using immigrant labour to rig that supply.
As for so called ‘workshy Brits’ if I was to say that the facts show that the ethnic Asians,Africans and Slavs aren’t good enough to make their own countries into places worth living in while scrounging off of the Anglo Saxon based economies in one form or another.Then I’d obviously be called a ‘racist’ by those making money out of the cheap immigrant labour scam on one side and their allies amongst the socialists and foreign scroungers on the other.As for the indigenous workforce it wasn’t Slavic,Asian or African workers and know how that made the country into the type of place where they all now want to move to or that saved western civilisation in WW2.But in general they all seem to share a common ability in being able to zb up their own countries and societies to the point where they want to move in here to live with us or at least want us to provide them with economic ‘aid’ because they can’t earn their own way in the world.
