People… people…! get a grip of yourselves.
You are driving Trucks for a living not pristine limousines.
Leave the ■■■■ things at the end of your shift as you found them at the beginning. Simples.

Biggest problem i have is my cab mutt, whenever i have to drive these puffs wagons, even though i clean up after her, getting as much dog hair up as i can i still get one hell of a lot of ■■■■■■■■ about smells etc.Been close to fisty cuffs many times with [zb] drivers that have no tolerance for a cab mutt.
Have you ever thought that the regular driver, like me, might be asthmatic & allergic to dog hair?

There are some sad b…s on here.It takes two miuntes to clean the cab at the end of the day but it just shows how disgustingly unhygenic some drivers are! They seem to think its big and clever but its not and if i were a boss i would sack any driver for being like it. Clearly these idiots have no respect for other peoples things. Drivers not all but the select few do spoil it for everyone else just take a look at shower blocks in truckstops or msa’s.No wonder they never tidy them up when the next idiot makes it as bad again! Some of us do dirtier jobs than others, and have better things to do.
I am on bulk tipper work so i know all about mucky jobs from quarry work to soya to barley so dont try to be clever like normal. It pure laziness
So farmers and digger drivers are lazy too? You can ■■■■ about all you want with polish it doesn’t alter the fact a lorry is a tool for the job.

.
this would be the boss who has an office cleaner to clean up after him!
manky bosses!

I stood in a dump once in a layby and it wern’t no dog dump either unless it was a very big dog with issues. Spent about 30 mins trying to clean boots and get rid of the smell
With a badge like that you are clearly used hanging around with ■■■■
Does the hosepipe ban affect washing of lorries? I know cattle wagons are exempt…

Last time we had a hosepipe ban, our lot couldn’t get a definite answer so introduced this as a policy;
Lorries washed as a necessesity
Lorries due for mot/servicing
Company cars as necessary
No washing of employees private cars using company pressure washers
An even bigger grey area was washing at our gravel pit as the hoses and pressure washer are fed with recycled plant/lake water.
truck wash at last place i worked was re-cycled water, banned during water shortage though

Bit of a bummer then as I like to put a hosepipe in my cab and wash it out…

I agree Muckaway a lorry is a tool for a job.
When I did my Mechanics training my tools had to be looked after, wiped clean and stowed properly when I was not using them. Why should it be different for trucks or plant?
I’ve noticed that if I leave my truck clean and tidy a reasonable temp will do the same. I agree those who don’t care, don’t care but at least there is half a chance my workplace will be as I left it.

I thought this thread would be about something else, by the title. There was a massive turd in a layby on the A1 by Catterick today.
And it wasn’t no dog turd neither.
I reckon it was Bulgarian.
No R Swipe or socks next to it, just a big stinky, curly turd sat on its own in the layby.
Some driver will stand in that in the night I bet.
that’s some talent being able to tell the nationality for by the smell of a turd BGT for you

I’m not a footprints on everything person by any means, I keep my wagon reasonable for the job it does A 7 year old tipper is never going to be of Truckfest standards based in a gravel pit but from what people have seen of my lorry from photos I’ve posted of it on here, general consensus is it’s looked after.
That’s fair enough Muckaway, my old bus is four years old and pretty tidy (you’ll have to take my word for it cos I’m not supposed to post pictures of it).
I’m not a spit and polish man but I like stuff to be clean and tidy. I get a bit weary of drivers who use ‘It’s just a tool for a job’ line as an excuse for not bothering to be careful.
I doubt you’re that type of driver so I’m sorry if you think I was having a pop. My post was aimed more at the phrase than the man.
