Agreed on the curtains,did Mr Magoo invent that,they are too short,and dont go all the way to stop the light coming in.
I went from a DAF 2800 to a 17-502 roadhaus, a massive difference a real joy to drive…huge cab, huge engine and huge stacks up the back…Drive a fh12 at moment, would I have the MAN ■■? Most certainly…!
I’ve been almost exclusively driving Scanias for the last eighteen years. Last month I changed from my six year old V8 Topline for an ex Maritime XXL TGA.
Obviously it doesn’t have the power and the excellent retarder but the MAN is a pleasure to drive. The MAN has a smooth ride on distance runs it’s very quiet and the bunk is great.
Although the MAN doesn’t have the perceived ‘character’ of the V8. I can honestly say that the MAN is an easier place to work and I wouldn’t change back to Scania again.
