Is it just me but do other think that these lanes are to narrow?
Today I had a truck come past me full bore tight up the ■■■ of a car to me it’s madness in such narrow lanes. Yes I will admit I do get on at times but I know we’re and when to do it.

Hiya Tanktrotter,I fully agree pal I always hold back now but hold my hands up to once followin another lorry too closely and it clipped the cones and spat one out at me and I couldn’t avoid it and hit it and it ripped the step off and put a big hole in the bumper,I learnt my lesson tho rather quickly :blush:

i was going to post something about this last week,but i got sidetracked.
yes the lanes are narrow,i usually straddle lanes 2 and 3 if i get stuck upsides another heavy.and another thing…i dont think ive ever crossed the 62 in normal operating hours without being held up for one reason or another,i don`t do the 25 much these days,but this road is rapidly becoming a valid replacment :imp:

Don’t know if it’s true or not but been told by another driver these roadworks are on for 2years■■?

Agreed very narrow, Also straddle 2 lanes but easier as night driver

ive belted through them before and thought bloody hell they are tight, now its just steady away cos you are a bit close to other traffic.

Yes its for 2yrs… and there’s hardly any work taking place…rather high price to pay given delays it causes and time it takes to complete…but in the end its taxpayer’s money :frowning:8-)8-):smile:

Which roadworks.

The ones between Burtonwood and Manchester, or the other 20 million sets on the part between Heywood and Hull?

Seems that just as you get out of 1 set, national speed limit, no point in speeding up because as you touch 56 you’d have to break again for the next set :imp:

the middle lane in the roadworks between Luton and MK seems quite narrow in places not that some lorry drivers seem to notice that :exclamation: :imp: :imp:
