If a numpty is going to run into the back of a truck acting as a fend off , the chances are the numpty is going to write off the stranded vehicle .
It is a pretty standard practice to use vehicles to create a sterile area until lane or road closures are in place .
In the past the police have often asked trucks to block lanes while they deal with a situation .
