Crikey Diesel Dave, that’s knocked me on my backside!

Blimey Nite Owl, that wasn’t my intention.

I didn’t have much time last night, and I’ve just re-read what I wrote so apologies if it came across a a bit short.

Nite Owl:
I thought I had a good enough handle on this ADR stuff but I’m rather disappointed at how much I’ve forgotten. I’m bloody glad you’re here.

Oh well, looks like the car isnt getting washed this weekend. Someones hitting the books.

If you’re an employed driver, then there’s nothing to worry about.

:bulb: It’s quite a bit different if you own or manage one or more trucks though.

 no worries Diesel Dave, it wasnt your reply that bothered me, it was how much I dont know that did!

If no lq placards available and required as discussed above would it be ok to use orange boards on a road journey??

Sorry mate ‘fraud not.

If a load is correctly subject to orange plate rules, then any LQs make no difference to marking requirements, but it doesn’t work the other way around.

What a fine bunch of helpful Individuals… thanks all for your help.

I’m bored of trying to convince my boss he is consistently breaking the law, let’s hope we don’t get a tug. Only a small firm, any sort of fine could end his little empire on the spot.

DVSA and/or the authority that prosecutes this would have an absolute field day camping outside a certain chemical manufacturer in Rochdale.

Exactly the reason for employing the DGSA and the authorities now taking the problem to the top. The man in the board room doesn’t know the difference between Anadin and Ammonia.

In Germany the equivalent of DVSA are camped outside the chemical companies, woe betide them if a driver gets sent out on the road with a fault or discrepancy.
