A few years ago, during an examination at my GP Was told that my BP was getting on the high side,Had full blood tests ,cholesterol test, nothing wrong with either, At the time i smoked, was around 6-7 st over my ideal weight, and did little exercise,I also drank quite a lot every night almost,
I took that has a warning and did something about it, I quit the cigarettes, quit adding salt to foods, and also started eating more foods with no or those that have a low amount of salt , i cut out sugar in drinks, and fizzy drinks,And initially kicked the beer into touch started eating lots of fruit, and healthier foods , as well as going the gym 3 times a week, after 2 month i had lost over 2 st, and my bp had reduced a little, so i started walking a lot more ,started taking Allicinmax caps, 1 daily 6mths later my BP was back within normal range ,
Since then my BP has stayed at normal levels, I did how ever start putting some weight back on, because i do now have a beer a couple of times each week, But i have found a way to shed the excess by fasting 2 days each week
on the 2 fast days i only eat around 600 calories each day , After 4weeks i can feel the difference in the amount of flab on my gut, I shall have to invest in a set of scales, lol i have never had any
att:
I have had high blood pressure, since the first time it was ever measured when I was in my early 20`s. I have refused drugs to treat it, as I suffered with the side effects when I tried one lot.
I am a person who has high blood pressureâŚI suppose I shall fail the medical in 2014I got so fed up with being nagged by doctors, that I have not registered with one, since moving up to Lincs 17 months ago
I suffered side effects with a few different blood pressure drugs youâve just got to persevere till they get it right, youâd be better off with the drugs mate itâs not called the silent killer for nothing. Just for the record mine was 232/152 and turned out to be knackered kidneys causing the problem everythingâs connected you could be causing unseen damage to your body.
I had my angiogram yesterday, and luckily i have not got Angina, but i have to keep on the statins and aspirin, the leg pain went 3 weeks ago, when i stopped taking iboprufen for a foot injuryâ â ?,
So it has been a shock to me and a healthier lifestyle from now on, 1.5 stone gone and another 3 stone to come off
Also we lost a good friend and neighbour on Saturday ,Billy Gilmour aged 69, who was landlord of the grapes inn about 20 years back, he also worked for Arla/Express Dairies/NFT .
He had been having serious heart problems for a number or years.
RIP Billy.
