what he needs is a spare digi card…
now where did I put mine
Depends on what his job as a HGV driver entails,he may get in his wagon drive an hour and sit on a bay for 3 hours and get more sleep than any of us!
Doesn’t Eagerbleeder work the streets at night and drive a lorry in the day? Wonder if that’s why he likes the air suspension seat
In years gone by, when shall we say politely that subsidised jobs were unheard of, and children were bought up by their mothers (usually) and not paid strangers, that the man of the house provided as well as he could by doing what he needed to do often as the sole breadwinner.
Who knows what this blokes situation is, but he’s daft to broadcast it this day and age when the trends and rules are different and cradle to grave nanny state rules.

It’s news to us, what were you up to when you made this discovery?
He was making love to his Mum when she climaxed and screamed my name out.
Most TM’S turn a blind eye to extra jobs, keeps you off their back for money. When I started as a retained fireman I went down all the right channels. Ecfrs were more worried about it than my firm. We got called to do a stand by at Harlow town at about 1am on a Monday morning, although I lipped while there, I was still in my normal job by 6. I don’t cover many shifts anymore though, it was killing me if I got called out on a Sunday night
Didn’t this sort of thing catch up with an Aldi driver on the M61 some years back…?
Why doesn’t this cleaner just work double shift’s, if he’s that desperate for money. After all, the pay is the same. Why bother driving a Truck?

Surely it was a Tesco driver? … Everything catches up with a Tesco driver… mopeds, lawnmowers, mobility scooters…

a tossco artic did a crossover on the m61 a few years back iirc he killed someone on the otherside too!
probably caused by staying awake all day, as he had an easy job at night!
thought he could catch up on sleep on shift!

Na was an Aldi driver mate I remember this, killed a young guy in van on opposite side.
He was having a bad time at home as wife died and looking after 3 kids on his own according to article. So doesn’t mean just working can make you tired and dangerous. Health issues, anxiety, domestic problems can cause it too. Ain’t no legislation going to stop that from happening.

Maybe if people were paid enough to live from their main job then they wouldn’t need to get these other incomes.
He was in the boozer everyday as well & working on 3 or 4 hours kip…
To be honest, I think he’s talking bollox. Not saying it doesn’t happen, but I don’t believe this particular story, it just doesn’t ring true. Oh yes says he, I drive a big lorry, long distance, Leeds, Liverpool etc, can’t remember the rest. What does he call long distance ? Just doesn’t sound like a driver to me.
His landlord benefit must be prohibitive for lowly paid truckers.perhaps sharing a tent at Watford gap is the answer
