Sorry for the wind up mate, I don’t know what Longs of Leeds pay their drivers.

I was talking to a guy on the agency a couple of weeks ago.
He said the hourly rate was low overtime was paid after 55 hours.
He said he would have come out with the low £400 mark per week.
They move a lot of wood and have there blue eyed boys to do the best
work.

From what I’m reading on here, the most experienced drivers don’t seem to have the ability to find a better paid job elsewhere… :unamused:

I wouldn’t work for 6.19 per hour unless its paid in Bahraini Dinar, in which case it’ll just about make the cut. :grimacing:

£6.19 Longs of Leeds must pay more than that, chap i know who worked there told me he was on £7 per hour 4 or 5 years ago

…Then it will have surely deflated to £6.19 by now surely?

So what are the wages like at Longs of Leeds ■■

Left longs 12 months ago, having worked there for 18mths this time. Worked for them before for 3yrs. They have got the blue eyed boys and the brown nosers etc but where hasnt. The job is mostly wood for Finn forest out of Boston or easington and paper out of tilbury.there is also rdc work for simmingtons ( ■■■■■■■■■■■■ ran out of Finn in widnes multi drop flooring London. (Deep joy).thetackle is all top class but all restricted to 52 mph. Trailers all good. The money though is rubbish. £7.25 for the first 55hrs then £9.37 after that. £19 per night out and all parking paid. A lot of the fellas have been there ages and those will be on loyalty bonuses.the owners are all family and to be fair are pretty good people.if I was stuck I would work there again, but I’m at bibby,s in Blackburn now £24,000 per annum for 44 hrs a week. Overtime after that at £15.20 per hour plus all sorts of other bonuses ie they paid for all my CPc and paid me whilst I was doing it, the same for my ADR. Result. Hope this helps.

Forgot to mention they also knock 9percent off the top line of your wage for the breaks you have.thats the real ball acher.

I fancied working for bibby dist @ some point, always wondered what they paid, thanks for sharing…

£7.25 for 55 hours ■■ there must be some additional payment
and how long do you have to work at Long’s to receive loyalty payments ■■

At £7.25 I reckon about a fortnight would prove your loyalty. :imp:
