Just a jolt to readers here that the annual August Bash is next sunday the 25th at The Star in Romsey. I’m making the effort as I’m still alive and solvent!

Really good turn out on Sunday lots of old faces not seen for a few years. Great to see mr P. Scorry there still looking good. Good to see everyone.

Richard Evans is wearing a Garonne T-shirt. I couldnt give an age on that but maybe he was just proving he could still get into it!

The question is could the lovely Angie still sheet & rope a load, I saw her doing just that in Fawley refinery the week after Noah launched the ark :face_with_monocle: :+1:  soooh long ago, Buzzer

Couple shots one of Waters Bros, Cadnam who were timber hauliers second pic, the first when the M27 was new, looks very bare to what it is today and not a lot of traffic with no que to go towards town and no traffic lights either, what year do you reckon ?

Gary that shirt is nearly 50 years old,Buzzer bought it for me when he took me on a trip I was only 5 years old !!

Her finest hour was in Vicenza unloading a Kangaroo Trailer full of skins that had been taken off the train in Paris 2 weeks before, due to the load moving and wouldn’t go through the tunnels,it was the summer and the load was certainly moving when it arrived in Novara as the maggots had taken up residence. She sends her love to you.
