Parkhouse was the spin off LTS Stoke, Wayne & name unknown (Chap who ran a garage??) obviously took the Spainish JCB work & a couple of the Drivers, as been said earlier lasted only a few years until Brit Euro took over all jcb work
Jeremy
I used to be an O/D for British International, does anyone know what happened to Bob Garnett,(Garnett Eurotrans.),former Euro PSL manager, and Paul Fogden of Freight Transfer,Paul had an all year round permatan, ran JCB`s for Motivo Lda in Portugal with Renault tractor units, then changed to LV shipping ltd.Guy in office was called Mogsley, nickname. One driver,i think was called Carl Smith, did a trip to the Basque country, and witnessed a full scale shoot out with the Guardia Civil and the ETA separist group,at a routine road block with bullets flying around,he vowed never to return to euro work, and he stuck to his word,he had a spotty face and bad acne, blond hair.
The manager at Euro Psl was called Richard Peacock, and when pulling for them, the depot was at Aboboda,on the outskirts of Lisboa, and the firm there was Garland Laidley lda, hanging garments for Next, and groupage, the other depot was on a terrible cobbled old street in Porto, near SP pneus,(Tyres.),you had to blind reverse in,with impatient locals hooting their horns.Fatima and Oscar in the Porto Garland office, they moved to a bigger depot in Maia,on the industrial estate.
Being weekended in Lisbon was not so bad,i would sneak around the back of Cascais shopping mall, the films in the cinema were in English with Portuguese subtitles, failing that,i would park near the campsite on the beach near Praia de Guincho, windsurfing and surfing mecca, always windy, year round, with sand dunes.
