Seeing that picture of Morry Moodys Skoda on its side with a UBC box which was of course Mackpac reminds me them 20’ boxes could be top heavy especially if loaded with tinned fruit and the likes nearly lost one on its side me self turning up the A10 of the north circular early one morning but corrected it as not much traffic about but made you more care full in the future, also doing loads of tinned sweet corn to Tesco’s depot and you always had to drop the trailer so the front was sloping downhill as some one opened the doors one day and loads fell out on top of the poor man, you’d get hung for that today by 'elf an safety cheers Buzzer.

Hi John
I am pretty sure Maury’s UBC box was loaded with Massey Ferguson castings top to bottom so again top heavy!!!
Hi Pat I used to do a lot to the Ford tractor plant in Basildon, usually in the old tilt sided 20 footers with the TIR cables running round, got boring doing the same job, also three nights a week Mick Shepherd RIP who was transport manager for Star car transporters in West Quay road did the same run and when he had reloaded on the pad at the birth he would give me a ring and I got into a nice warm motor for the day run. Mackpac were in the old docks to start with but moved to 205 birth I think but cant remember what year that was, cheers Buzzer.
