Thanks for help which I missed before doing it! , I got to Frome from Warminster where unhelpfully there are no black freight signs for Radstock.
Yes those ones, but they are not on the a36. It’s not an unreasonable thought that the A Road further up would be suitable avoiding Frome.
Should I ever be unfortunate enough to have to go back to that place I shall remember the route
If you came from the Warminster direction on the A36, to get to drive through the village of NSP I think you may have got to the roundabout where Beckington services is with the Starbucks,garage and hotel then continued north towards Bath then turned left at Brown Shutters, on your left there’s Farleigh farm shop.
The picture shown off the roundabout with the black advisory route is in the other direction off the Frome bypass, and as you rightly said, not enough warning from the Warminster area for access to Radstock.
