Lift Axle

If you can find it, each time you drive a different make of truck, have a read of the driver’s handbook.
Even if you only read the bit about lift axles, you will at least find out what they will each do for themselves and what you can do manually.

Always put your lift axle down when being loaded. If the lorry doesn’t level it self out after its been loaded, you can sort it out with the hand set down the drivers side seat. I wouldnt panic to much, your right to be asking questions, none of us were born with knowledge and had to pick it up from somewhere, that was a good bit of advice about reading the handbook, its very useful. Most things will become very clear straight away as soon as you start driving them.
