I trained with Friendberry, you can either commute to the venue or they arrange accomodation in the area, if you live a certain distance away you get money off.
They used a hotel, and you get good pies down the road for lunch, the town is Wiveliscombe or Wivy as the locals call it, they use Stoggumber village hall for training.
One week of training , i stayed at a place they had arranged, the land lady goes off at night to go dancing, and you get invited to go.

That’s a nice story.
Do they do them wallet things? You know, the ones that hold all your cards.
Car boot sale or the local market to buy a wallet for the cards, the 6 foot long metal chain on a drivers wallet is not a RDC myth or tale, they did exist, the driver would have about two months worth of running money to pay tolls/fuel/break downs in his wallet.
The chain was attached to the weakest point on the trousers, for some reason the driver would get “gassed”, and the money has gone missing, or maybe it went in the “clubs” in Spain or the lady bars in Matosinhos in Porto.
So far there is no evidence of such as gas that can knock you out for the night, a doctor on Trucknet has testified to this, if you do a search.
There’s no reason why you shouldn’t just use a normal wallet. After all, the following cards which you used to carry are no longer needed.
-
Organ donor card. Quite apart from the fact that after a career in transport your body will be so knackered that even a Romanian abbattoir wouldn’t take it, all the details are now carried on your driving licence.
-
Mastercard/Visa/American Express. The way pay rates are going you’ll never qualify for a credit card, so why bother carrying one?
-
Store loyalty card(s). Since they’ve nearly all put height barriers or other obstacles up to stop us parking in their otherwise deserted car parks overnight, why the hell should we give them our business?
-
EHIC Card (European Health Insurance). See (2). You REALLY think you can afford a holiday, never mind a weekend in France?
There, you’ve now got room for all your driving cards. HTH!

When we used Caplis cards and tunnel cards we were given free plastic holders, the arrival of the toll tags and ANPR seemed to do away with them too.
I had a count up and I had 28 cards in my wallet, it was like a brick
