No offence mate,but kerbing ROUNDABOUTS■■?
With respect,i don’t think truck driving is for you.
Why would you say truck driving isn’t for him,it’s his first time in a bigger vehicle.
Didn’t you fail your class 2 three times, once for hitting a kerb?
Look, how would you have felt if people said that driving isn’t for you?
Tockwith Training:
I totally understand, I’ve had customers in the same situation, I recommend you book just individual lessons over a period of time with no test looming. Avoid a block training course, its obviously not working for you.
As wether truck driving is for you, ask the instructor for his honest opinion, see what he/she says.
I wouldn’t ask the instructor - it could be that the instructor’s a knob and knocks a trainee down because of a couple of mistakes or because they clearly find his manner intimidating. Men like this never blame themselves for how their behaviour affects people - if you’re scared of them you’re a flid according to them. I had one instructor last year tell me “it’s not for you” because I didn’t learn a lot from him, but I passed class 1 with another instructor and I’m now a pretty competent driver.

+1
Not everyone’s a naturally gifted teacher. Those that are tend to bury their own ego. However, some blokes will learn better with a strong lead. You need to work out who you are and what you need.
It’s important to be able to put over the instruction in clear, simple terms. Once one bit has been grasped, move on to the next. Move on without the foundations in place and you’re asking for trouble.
Everyone is different - and that’s part of the interest of the job.
Shropsbri-you are correct I touched a kerb on my first C test,i would have ■■■■■■ it other than that. There is a big difference between touching a kerb making a tight left hand turn on my test which I had not been on during lessons, and hitting a kerb turning right on a roundabout.
With respect,i am one of the most supportive members on the newbies forum, and encourage and offer advice as much as possible.
However if you are looking for an argument,i suggest you phone a friend. (If you have any).

Aint you the one that was abusive to a member because he got lgv funding by the dwp after quitting the building trade with health problems
calling unemployed people scroungers ?
very supportive person indeed
Wasn’t abusive to you pal. I called you a scrounger. Seems that not only did you not know when enough is enough on that previous thread, you are still trying to carry it on now.
This thread does not involve the government paying for your training,so its probably best if stay with the topic.

Listen to you,I’m not looking for an argument but you are by getting personal…I’m asking how you would have felt if after failing three times someone said to you it’s not for you.
The fact you you clipped it on your test says you had time in the wagon so was more used it unlike your man here who’s first day it was.

Im not carrying on the debate about funding , im making a point that your claim to be a supportive forum member is untrue.
I would have shown them my fail sheets. All three had less than 10 minors on,but unfortunately 1 serious on each. I would have also told them that Bredbury is one of the hardest places in the country to pass at. And I would have took no notice and cracked on.
This guy has folded like a tortilla. If he has what it takes,i am sure he wont lose any sleep over my comments, and HE will crack on.
As for getting personal, you were trying to be clever.
If you don’t like the comeback, dont try and be clever. With respect.
I wasn’t trying to be clever I asked how you would have felt.
Now just who do you think you are telling me what to do,this thread is more than likely going to get locked if it carries on like this.

Why is it something that can’t be trained out ? i’m ok turning left
On my first 2 days of practical training i clipped two roundabout kerbs and a juntion kerb , after that i got the hang of it and didn’t hit any again or on my test so this is a very poor comment to make a new driver.
Eager your either trolling or being an idiot comes natural.
Still cant leave it I see? As I have mentioned to you on a previous occasion, our esteemed peers on here don’t want to get bored with your eagerbeaver obsession.
Anyway have you had your bath and done your homework? Hurry up to bed,you have school in the morning.

Eagerbeaver does have a point though… Was he expecting to hop in a wagon and be sh*t hot? Rome wasn’t built in a day… if you can’t deal with making errors, or being told where your going wrong I wouldn’t do any trainin…
We all deal with nerves differently but jeez you just threw away a grand!
It can be overwhelming on first day , one of the guys training the same days as me didn’t get on with the instructor and nearly threw the towel in after hitting kerbs but still went on to pass first time and has just started a new job.
Op has made a huge mistake quitting after first day but that doesn’t mean he cant become a lgv driver
