a driver at our place,who i’ll call ‘Gary’,is always unhappy,moaning everyday about the hours,his run,lack of overtime,too many hours when he does overtime :unamused: etc.etc.etc. i’ve known him for a few years,and at several jobs,and he’s always moaning.but i think he’s generally unhappy anyway,if he won the lottery he’d be moaning about something.

It’s hardly surprising the clergy are happy, they only work one day a week, and it’s a Sunday, double time.

Not to mention free food after weddings and funerals.
And for priests, unlimited bumfoolery with orphans and choirboys.

The world’s full of miserable sods who will always moan about something, usually a lot more as they get older. I make the most of things, I ■■■■ my current job for overtime pushing beyond 50 hours a week if I can. Then go to the pub on a Friday night and treat the Dad.

Can’t complain I suppose.

I’m quite a laid back happy person in general. If for some reason I couldn’t drive, I’d still earn a half decent wage within the company. I don’t have any serious worries.

I’ve been employed by this company for 21 years. We have a 5 year grace. I’ll be 49 when this is up, I’ll have no worries even at that age. Sorry if this doesn’t agree with the norm.

I’m a very happy person, whether that is because I’m a lorry driver, or whether it’s despite of being a lorry driver is something I have absolutely no answer to.

All I know is that many moons ago when my hormones started to fizz I was told that women sleep with guys who smile a lot. I tried it, it worked and now I’m kind of stuck with the habit. :smiley:
