Leyland 0.500 series

■■■■■■■ 855 head bolt pattern. IIRC these were 3/4" UNF thread. The earlier 743 ISTR had 6x 7/8" UNC bolts per head.

I had not realised that a classic PSV can be driven on a car licence if carrying up to 8 people.

That used to be the case, so long as they were not fare-paying. Indeed I used to drive empty buses myself sometimes. But I believe they closed that loophole some years back, owing to the proliferation of New-age travellers buying up old buses to use as caravans.
